Date night this week was a total blast. We started the night out by heading down to the White House. As anyone who has seen it in person knows, it is beautiful and the yard is gorgeous. The only downfall is that there are so many tourists in front of it that it's hard to even get a clear view. You kind of have to fight your way up to the gate to look in and then you're lucky if you can find someone that speaks English to take your picture. After a few pictures, we headed to the White House Visitor's Center, but it had just closed, so we didn't learn anything new to share with you.

The next stop was Georgetown. We had so much fun walking down M Street and window shopping. For those who don't know, M street is the main street through Georgetown and it is full of really great shopping, and even better restaurants. When you're tired of shopping, you can head down for a nice walk on the waterfront. The walk along the Potomac is really pretty. After our walk we headed back up to M street for dinner at Paradiso. Mm, mm, good. Paradiso is a pizzeria with a couple of locations here in DC. We had read about it and heard it was more than worth a try. It was delicious. We shared the homemade bread and the Atomica pizza.

After dinner, we headed back toward the metro when we saw a movie screen set up in a park. It happened to be the last week of the Georgetown Film Festival and they were about to start the old western movie, "Shane." The weather was so nice and we had no place to be, so we stopped and watched the movie for a few minutes.

Anyway, as you can tell, it was a great night out together. We're having a blast exploring the city and trying new things.

We'll probably be out and about more this Holiday weekend and we hope everyone else is taking some time to relax and do something fun themselves. Loves.
